Property Law as Viewed by a Toddler

These are my girls.  My little miracles.
I was actually reading a John Maxwell book when I came across this.  (John references Michael V. Hernandez as the author.)  When I read it, I thought it was so funny that I thought I'd pass it on!  If you like, let me know which is/are your favorite/s.  They're all pretty good, though.  Enjoy...

"Property Law as Viewed by a Toddler"
1.  If I like it, it's mine.
2.  If it's in my hand, it's mine.
3.  If I can take it from you, it's mine.
4.  If I had it a little while ago, it's mine.
5.  If it's mine, it must never appear to be yours in any way.
6.  If I'm doing or building something, all the pieces are mine.
7.  If it looks like it's mine, it's mine.
8.  If I saw it first, it's mine.

...For Japan

Just bought this album & I would say to you, "Go get it!"  38 songs for $9.99 (at iTunes).  ALL PROCEEDS GO THE JAPANESE RED CROSS.

Now I know you might be saying how can $10 (I know it's actually $9.99, but just work with me here) make a difference?  Well, it can make a little bit of a difference.  BUT if 10 of us buy the album, then $10 turns into $100! AND if we tell 10 people to buy it (and they do), then our $100 turns into $1000!  AND ON AND ON AND ON! Also, if you don't like some of the songs, then you can just delete those.  Here's the link. (FYI: There are a few songs w/ "explicit" language.)

For those of us who'd rather not buy the album but just donate to support, a really fast and easy way is to help is to text REDCROSS to 90999.  $10 will be donated to the American Red Cross and billed to your wireless plan (All message and data rates apply).  Those monies will go specifically toward those in Japan affected by the disaster.  For more information here is the link to Red Cross.

Finally as we do whatever we're gonna do, let's say a little prayer for all those in Japan who have been affected, for those who are leading the country, and for those who are bringing aid.

Thanks everyone.  I know this is just a little bit, but a little bit can become a lot.  As Mother Teresa said, "We can do no great things, only small things with great love."

Lord be with them.

(Hey if you know of other ways to support the relief effort in Japan, leave a comment.  Thanks)

You & I

These are some lyrics to a song I wrote for my wife a couple years ago.  The title isn't that original, but I think the song itself isn't that bad.  I'll try to get a video or recording of it up some time.  But until then, it's just this:

You & I
In the beginning it was just you and me / you and me
Trying to do things right / learning how to love each other
Learning how to treat each other right
And though some people said we wouldn't make it very far
They didn't know what we had & we still have it
It's just a little thing called love

(and) If love is all we'll ever have
we'll be alright / cause love is all we'll ever need

You & I will always be / no matter what may come
no matter what may come
You & I will always be / no matter what may come
no matter what may come / just wait & see

Now as we go down this road together / you & I
We gotta help each other on / cause there'll be times in life
When we get tired
And we've seen our share of ups and downs already, you & I
But through the good and through the bad / one thing has never changed
One thing has stayed the same

HOME - the movie

Just watched this film on YouTube the other day.  It makes me think about my time here on Earth.  Makes me think about the world that my children will live in.  Here's the trailer.  What do you think?

Watch the full movie here.

Hey there,
Thanks for checking the blog out.  Haven't quite had time to really set things up.  But I will.  Come back soon!

Take care,
